Notes: I recently bought a wonderful church booklet that commemorates the dedication of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of White Lake, South Dakota. It is dated The First Sunday After Trinity - June 12, 1955.
The Dedication Committee had George Moseman and Lester Steffen as co-chairmen.
The Pastor was Rev. Robert Kamprath.
The booklet contains many historical photos of the dedication plus information about former pastors Arnold Kuntz, Heinrich Hannemann, Frank Albrecht, Fred Gade, August Oberheu, Arthur Streufert, Belno Lange, Tobias Buehner, Steve Persa, and Gustav Steffen.
There are photos of the old church at Crystal Lake, White Lake Church, and St. John's School.
There is a chronological list of happenings in the parish from 1881-1955.
The Steps That Led Toward the Building of Trinity Lutheran Church is a narrative story about arriving at the decision to build the church.
There is a large photo of people at the dedication which occurred in the pouring rain!
There is info about the first services in the new church and a list of building personnel plus the costs for the building.
There is a list of memorial items in the church in memory of Adolph Beutner, Elmer Jacobs, Gustav Beutner, Fred Lemcke, Ralph Meier, Fred Bannick, Richard Alan Steffen, Mrs. Esther Goepfert, Mrs. Anna Bogenhagen, and Max Schmitz.
Photos of the following: Lorraine Markhardt at the organ, the Sunday School Staff, the Ladies Aid (who fed 600 folks at the dedication), the Church Council, the Dedication Ushers.
